Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, has announced that he will not hold any official position in his father’s upcoming administration. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
The agency reminds that Trump Jr. played an active role in his father’s last presidential campaign. In particular, it was he who proposed J.D. Vance as a candidate for vice president. Additionally, he helped vet potential appointees for loyalty to the elected president, according to the report.
As noted, Donald Trump Jr. will instead join the venture capital firm 1789 Capital, which invests in conservative-leaning companies. Throughout most of his professional career, Trump Jr. worked at the Trump Organization. Recently, he, along with his father and brothers Eric and Barron, began working in the cryptocurrency business with the company World Liberty Financial.
