Germany warns of possible attacks on Israeli embassies

Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) has issued a warning about the potential for attacks on Israeli diplomatic missions in Germany and other countries in the coming days.

The threats are linked to the Islamist group Hamas, which has spread calls for “sieges” of embassies of “the Zionist entity and countries that support it” through its Telegram channel.

The BKA notes that while German embassies abroad may not be directly targeted by these calls, the statement highlights Germany’s support for Israel’s actions. Similar messages calling for attacks have been circulating on social media since late October, using specific hashtags.

Embassies of the US, France, the UK, and Germany have been mentioned in these threats. While there is no specific information about imminent attacks, the BKA believes that individual embassies could still be targeted.

This warning follows violent clashes in Amsterdam on November 7 after a match between Ajax and Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv, when pro-Palestinian activists attacked Israeli fans. Dutch political leaders condemned the attacks as antisemitic.
