By 2035, generative artificial intelligence technologies are expected to affect over 40% of jobs in the Czech Republic, impacting up to 2.3 million people. Of these, 600,000 are projected to experience significant changes, according to a study by BCG and the Aspen Institute.
The greatest impact of AI will be on software developers, junior lawyers, and employees handling large volumes of data. Generative AI will automate routine tasks and accelerate data analysis, highlighting the need for digital skills training and upskilling.
The study also forecasts growing demand for skilled labor. Approximately 300,000 jobs are expected to disappear, while 70,000 workers will require retraining. Without modernizing its education system, the Czech Republic risks losing its competitive edge.
Economists emphasize that the labor market is evolving faster than society is prepared for. Education must become a lifelong process to ensure sustainable economic growth.
