Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has warned of the growing danger of nuclear conflict, emphasizing that Vladimir Putin could use nuclear weapons without hesitation if Russia faces a serious threat. He urged the West not to ignore these risks.
According to Vučić, the conflict in Ukraine has reached a critical point, bringing the world to the brink of disaster.
Serbia expressed its conclusions right away. I am proud that we managed to maintain our position without any changes. We believe it is essential to start negotiations for a truce or peace because the situation is heading toward a global catastrophe. There are ten steps to total disaster, and we have already taken nine.
Vučić also stressed that Serbia must strengthen its preparedness for potential consequences, as the country currently has shelters for only 257,000 people. The president proposed increasing this capacity to one million or more by collaborating with owners of sports facilities and other premises.
