Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles stated that her country does not supply Ukraine with weapons capable of reaching Russian territory.
Robles emphasized that Spain is not in the same position as the United Kingdom or the United States, which have approved strikes on Russia using their missiles.
The equipment we have sent is not related to such a situation, she said.
At the same time, Robles underlined that Spain’s commitments to Ukraine remain firm.
Media reports earlier suggested that Britain had privately approved Ukraine’s use of transferred cruise missiles to strike Russian targets in response to Russia’s deployment of North Korean troops.
Previously, the U.S. also authorized strikes on Russia using its long-range ATACMS missiles, although they have not made any public announcements about it.
