Trump intends to reform U.S. elections

Donald Trump, who won the presidential election on November 5, announced plans to reform the country’s electoral process.

Speaking at the “Patriot of the Year” award ceremony on Long Island, broadcast by Fox News, Trump emphasized the need for changes. He proposed the adoption of paper ballots, single-day voting and mandatory verification of voter identity and citizenship.

The politician also criticized a new California law that prohibits requiring voter identification at polling stations. Trump vowed to not only reform elections but also address the issue of illegal immigration.

Trump became the first president since the 19th century to return to the White House after a break. His victory was confirmed by all major media outlets, including the Associated Press, Fox News and CNN. Kamala Harris, representing the Democratic Party, conceded defeat, while incumbent President Joe Biden congratulated Trump.

The election results are set to be officially certified by Congress on January 6, with the presidential inauguration scheduled for January 20.
