Trump will sign more than 25 executive orders on his first day back in the White House

After winning the U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump plans to sign over 25 executive orders and directives on his first day back in the White House on January 20.

This will allow him to make significant changes to U.S. policies in areas such as immigration, energy, education, and more, Reuters reports, citing informed sources.

Trump told his team that he wants to “make a splash” on his first day by signing a series of orders aimed at major policy shifts. Key initiatives are expected to include tightening immigration policies, such as expanding the powers of immigration officers, resuming the construction of the border wall with Mexico, and sending additional military personnel to the southern border. Additionally, there are plans to increase oil and gas production, in line with Trump’s campaign promises.

In the education sector, Trump is expected to propose a ban on funding schools teaching critical race theory and to roll back anti-discrimination measures for transgender students. Changes related to federal contractors, including restrictions on diversity training, are also under consideration.
