American entrepreneur Elon Musk, one of the future leaders of the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), stated that artificial intelligence (AI) will surpass the intelligence of all humans by 2030.
With each passing year, it becomes increasingly likely that AI will surpass the intelligence of any individual by the end of 2025 and possibly all humans by 2027-2028. The probability that AI will surpass the intelligence of all humans by 2030 is nearly 100%, Musk wrote on social media platform X.
In July, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that artificial intelligence poses existential risks to humanity and called on governments to regulate it before it is too late.
In response to these challenges, Musk emphasized the importance of developing safe and ethical technologies, as well as the need for oversight in the development of AI. In particular, he is actively working on projects aimed at ensuring that AI will be used for the benefit of society rather than to its detriment.
