The number of those injured in the incident at the Christmas market in Magdeburg has risen to 235.

Five people died, including a nine-year-old boy and four women aged between 45 and 75, when a man drove a car into the crowd at the Christmas market on Friday evening. Earlier, authorities reported that 200 people were injured in the incident, but the number has now been updated to 235.
The suspect, a Saudi Arabian citizen identified as Taleb A., had been living in Germany since 2006 and was granted political asylum in 2016. He was arrested at the scene of the crime and remains in custody.
