William and Zakaria Zulok were sentenced to one hundred years of imprisonment for committing sexual offenses against two adopted children, who are currently 12 and 10 years old.
According to The New York Post, the judge decided on a strict punishment that excludes the possibility of parole. This decision was the result of a lengthy court trial and extensive evidence proving the defendants’ guilt.
It became known that William and Zakaria adopted the boys through a Christian agency specializing in working with children with special needs.
However, instead of providing the children with protection and care, they became the cause of their suffering. The investigation revealed that the couple not only sexually assaulted the boys but also recorded the crimes on video, which they later bragged about to their acquaintances.
Law enforcement agencies determined that the couple’s crimes were organized, and there is a suspicion that the boys were also forced to engage in sexual acts with other offenders.
Given the nature of the crimes committed, society expressed dissatisfaction and demanded stricter penalties for such criminals.
