Ex-CIA officer: CIA leadership hates Christianity, used ‘diversity’ as a weapon

Retired CIA officer Kevin Shipp has spoken out about what he describes as decades of left-wing political activism and Soviet-style indoctrination within the U.S. intelligence agency, claiming dissenting views faced punishment.

“When I worked at the CIA, we were summoned to a conference room where our division manager announced, ‘This comes from the CIA’s top leadership. You can’t say Merry Christmas in the office or display a nativity scene on your desk or door, or face administrative penalties,’” Shipp recounted during an interview with conservative commentator Candace Owens.

He explained that fear of repercussions silenced his colleagues, leaving them unwilling to challenge these directives. Shipp further alleged that the agency used diversity programs as a tool to marginalize Christian employees, describing Christians as “the hardest group in America to manipulate” because they “don’t accept tyranny” and listen “only to God.”

He also criticized the Obama administration, accusing it of targeting Christians and removing the religious freedom post at the State Department. Shipp tied these practices to initiatives introduced earlier, noting how Bill and Hillary Clinton pushed for “diversity initiatives” within the intelligence community, particularly focusing on transgender inclusion.

“People stayed quiet back then. Now those diversity proponents have become powerful billionaires, CEOs, and influential figures in government and education. DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) has become their weapon against the foundations of America,” Shipp wrote in August.

After 17 years with the CIA, Shipp now dedicates his efforts to educating the public about what he sees as the agency’s focus on controlling the U.S. population rather than defending it against external threats. In his book Twilight of the Shadow Government: How Transparency Will Kill the Deep State, he delves into his experiences, alleging unholy alliances between the CIA, corporations, the media, and Wall Street.
