In her speech, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described American billionaire Elon Musk as a “brilliant person.”
Meloni noted that she has a good relationship with the Tesla founder, stating,
We are certainly two people who have very good relations. He is a brilliant person, and it is always interesting to talk with him.
However, the prime minister added that there are some disagreements between them on certain issues. Meloni also commented on how public opinion about Musk tends to shift over time.
Meanwhile, Musk himself has found himself at the center of political controversies in Germany. Recently, he publicly called for support of the right-wing party Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the upcoming February 23 elections and published an op-ed in their favor in the newspaper Welt am Sonntag. This sparked a sharp reaction from both the German government and opposition parties.
