A bus carrying 14 passengers veered off the road and into a ditch early this morning in Poland’s Lublin Voivodeship.
The incident occurred around 5:00 AM on Voivodeship Road No. 812 near the village of Krupe, close to Krasnystaw. Local police reported that the bus ended up in the same ditch where a passenger car was already stuck.
Three individuals were taken to the hospital, but their injuries are described as minor. Both the bus driver and the car driver were confirmed to be sober at the time of the accident.
“The bus driver likely failed to adjust their speed to the road conditions on an icy road surface while navigating a curve,” explained the duty officer from the Lublin Voivodeship Police Department.
Authorities have declared the affected section of the road impassable and have implemented detours. “We urge everyone to exercise caution and follow the instructions of traffic controllers,” the police advised.
