Sister of OpenAI head accuses him of sexualized abuse

Sam Altman’s sister, the head of DeepAI, has accused him of sexual abuse. According to a report by Business Insider, the Altman family has expressed support for Sam.

On January 6, Ann Altman filed a lawsuit claiming that when she was three years old, her 12-year-old brother subjected her to abuse in the 1990s and 2000s. In the court filing, she stated that he allegedly forced her to perform oral sex several times a week and later escalated to actual violence and intimidation. This, she claims, led to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder and physical injuries that deprived her of the ability to lead a normal life.

The lawsuit alleges that Sam manipulated Ann into believing that these actions originated from her, despite her being a child and Sam being almost 12 at the time. She is seeking $75,000 in damages and legal fees from her brother.

In response to the allegations, Sam Altman issued a statement signed by his mother Connie and brothers Max and Jack. They called the accusations lies and accused Ann of extortion.

The family claims that they have supported Ann for many years, including providing financial assistance and help in finding employment, yet she continues to demand more money and actively spreads false information about them.

Sam Altman believes that the lawsuit may be an attempt to uncover his true financial status in order to seek a larger compensation. He quoted a letter from her attorney, which indicated that under Missouri state law, he may need to disclose his financial status in front of a jury.
