Unknown perpetrators carried out a major theft by breaking into a U.S. Army warehouse in California.
The thieves stole three Humvee vehicles from an Army Reserve center in Tustin. According to the police department, the suspects broke a lock to access the parking lot, CBS News reported. They drove off with the vehicles, one of which was armored, and fled in an unknown direction.
The thieves attempted to cut the lock on storage lockers for uniforms but failed. However, they managed to gain access to storage units containing equipment. Military officials stated that the thieves did not steal any weapons or ammunition, except for 18 bayonets.
In total, the suspects made off with three Humvees (one of them armored), an eight-barrel machine gun mount, seven machine gun tripods, 40 pairs of binoculars, and 18 bayonets. The police have called on citizens to provide any information related to the case.
