The second round of presidential elections has begun in Croatia, according to the Electoral Commission.
Over 6,700 polling stations, including 105 abroad, have opened. Voting will continue until 7:00 PM, with the first results expected around 8:00 PM. In the first round, incumbent President Zoran Milanović secured 49.09% of the vote, while his opponent, HDZ candidate Dragan Primorac, received 19.35%.
Milanović, known for his controversial statements, has faced criticism for refusing to support NATO initiatives to aid Ukraine. His rival, Primorac, has pledged to tackle corruption, migration issues, and the emigration of young people.
The president in Croatia holds primarily ceremonial duties, with key decisions made by the government.
