SpaceX successfully launched two lunar modules using a Falcon 9 rocket.
This event was part of NASA’s program aimed at developing a commercial lunar economy. The Blue Ghost and Resilience modules, developed by Firefly Aerospace and ispace, were launched together, reducing costs. After the launch, they will separate and head towards the Moon on their individual trajectories.
Blue Ghost, the smaller of the two devices, is expected to arrive on the Moon first—its landing is scheduled for March. The larger Resilience module will reach the Moon in about 4-5 months.
The main tasks of the rovers include collecting data, photographing the surface, and exploring the possibility of food production on the Moon.
