The terrorist group ISIS is reportedly planning attacks on high-profile events such as Oktoberfest in Germany, the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Carnival, and the Vienna Opera Ball, according to the Bild.
The publication states that the announcement was made a few days ago via the ISIS-Khorasan platform “Al-Azaim Media.” German intelligence agencies are taking the threat seriously, emphasizing that attacks often involve simple means, such as a vehicle or a knife.
Bild also notes that this particular ISIS faction previously claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack at Moscow’s “Crocus City Hall.” European authorities are stepping up security measures at large-scale events in light of these new threats to prevent potential tragedies.
