Mike Waltz, a former National Security Advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that the war in Ukraine must end and everyone should support this decision.
In an interview with CBS, he noted that even Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to work with Trump to end the conflict.
President Trump is clear that this war must end. I think everyone should agree with this. And in fact, Zelensky is even now willing to work with you, President Trump, to stop this war, Waltz said.
Waltz also outlined three key issues for resolving the conflict: who will participate in negotiations, how they will be conducted, and what the terms of the agreement will be. He described the current war as a “meat grinder,” comparing it to the trench warfare of World War I, which he believes could lead to World War III.
