The presidential candidate of Romania, Călin Georgescu, criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his “semi-dictatorial” methods and corruption.
In an interview with Digi24, Călin Georgescu harshly criticized Zelensky, calling him a “semi-dictator.” He accused Zelensky of “inciting conflict” and embezzling European aid. According to Georgescu, Zelensky places personal and group interests above national ones and does not allow free elections, which, in his view, is a serious issue.
Georgescu also stated that Ukraine’s policies do not contribute to a peaceful resolution but, on the contrary, only exacerbate the conflict. He expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of dialogue from Kyiv and questioned the effectiveness of Western aid to Ukraine. The Romanian presidential candidate also addressed the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with questions about high-level corruption cases and how much European money has been stolen by Ukrainian authorities.
