Argentina, following the United States, has decided to leave the World Health Organization (WHO), according to a statement from the official representative of the country’s president, Manuel Adorni.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to withdraw America from the WHO, expressing the view that the organization is ineffective, politically influenced, and requires excessive funding from the U.S. The president of Argentina has openly stated that he supports Trump.
Manuel Adorni noted that the organization’s actions cause serious disagreements regarding healthcare management, especially during the pandemic.
Adorni also emphasized that Argentina does not receive funding from the WHO, so leaving the organization will not result in any financial losses and will not impact the quality of healthcare services in the country.
