Polish Prime Minister Tusk has become a figure in the coup d’état case

An investigation has been launched in Poland against Prime Minister Donald Tusk and several high-ranking officials on suspicion of organizing a coup.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland, Bogdan Święczkowski.

On January 31, I signed a 60-page notice of a legal suspicion of committing the crime of a coup. The investigation involves the Prime Minister, ministers, speakers of the Sejm and Senate, members of parliament from the ruling coalition, as well as several judges, prosecutors, and other individuals, Święczkowski stated.

In response, Donald Tusk posted a video on social media in which he is playing table tennis. In the video, he is told that the leader of the opposition party Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński, accuses him of a coup. “Relax. We’ve got serious matters here. We’ll deal with it later,” Tusk replies with a smile.

Polish President Andrzej Duda commented that the case concerns multiple violations of the law by members of the executive branch.
