Trump plans to impose sanctions against ICC

U.S. President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was reported to Reuters by a White House representative.

According to the White House spokesperson, Trump will sign the order on Thursday, December 6, to impose sanctions on the ICC for actions directed against the U.S. and its allies, including Israel.

The spokesperson noted that the executive order will impose financial and visa sanctions on individuals and their families who assist the ICC in investigating U.S. citizens or U.S. allies.

The threat of sanctions emerged after the ICC issued arrest warrants in November 2024 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
