According to the inPoland portal, an increasing number of Ukrainians are leaving Poland and moving to Germany.
Based on the latest Eurostat statistics, by the end of 2024, over 1.14 million Ukrainian refugees will be living in Germany, which accounts for 27.2% of the total number of refugees in the European Union.
Meanwhile, the number of Ukrainian refugees in Poland has decreased from 1.3 million in 2022 to 983,880. However, not all those leaving Poland end up in Germany.
Migrants are attracted by higher wages, social benefits, and the quality of healthcare offered in Germany. It is also worth noting that Germany does not provide asylum to individuals who have already received it in another EU country.
