New negotiations between the United States and Russia will begin on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia. U.S. President Donald Trump announced this during the swearing-in ceremony of the new Secretary of Commerce, LBC reports.
According to Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin need to cooperate.
I think President Putin and President Zelensky should meet because we want to stop the killing of millions of people and young soldiers… I believe we have a chance to reach an agreement, the U.S. leader stated.
The discussed deal is expected to take effect. Earlier, Trump explained why he considers Zelensky’s presence at the peace talks unnecessary. The U.S. president also previously stated that he would prefer to hold peace negotiations on Ukraine without Zelensky’s participation.
