American entrepreneur and head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, has revealed that he is facing threats due to his policies aimed at reducing government spending.
At the first cabinet meeting under President Donald Trump, Musk emphasized that the country is heading toward a financial crisis unless urgent measures are taken.
If this continues, the country will de facto go bankrupt. This is not just a hypothetical scenario — it’s a real threat. That’s why I took on this job, despite numerous attacks and death threats, Musk stated.
Musk assumed leadership of DOGE after Trump’s re-election, taking on the task of reviewing budget expenditures and improving the efficiency of the government apparatus. According to him, the country has accumulated a massive budget deficit, while bureaucratic expenses have reached a critical level.
One of the key steps in his plan includes a large-scale reduction of government employees, a reassessment of funding for various programs, and the elimination of ineffective agencies. However, this initiative has faced significant resistance, particularly from government officials and lobbying groups unhappy with the loss of funding.
