A recent IBRiS poll for Rzeczpospolita reveals that 44.6% of Poles fear a potential withdrawal of U.S. troops from Poland, citing concerns over shifts in U.S.-Russia relations under Donald Trump’s presidency.
While no official announcement has been made regarding the removal of U.S. forces from Europe, uncertainty remains. Rzeczpospolita reports that “our sources are uncertain about what will happen after a potential reset in Washington-Moscow relations.”
The survey found that 48.2% of respondents do not share these concerns. Views among ruling party supporters are nearly split, whereas opposition supporters are generally less worried.
Women, individuals in their 40s (56%), and those with a secondary education (54%) express the most concern over a U.S. withdrawal.
The poll, conducted between February 20-21, 2025, surveyed 1,069 respondents.
