Among the victims was the deputy director of the religious institution. This was reported by the Dawn newspaper.
Earlier, the Associated Press reported that five people were killed and dozens were injured in the explosion. It was a suicide attack, said Zulfiqar Hamid, the chief inspector of the local police.
According to Dawn, one of the victims was Hamidullah Hak Haqqani, the deputy director of the madrassa. It was noted that at least 20 people were injured and hospitalized.
