Oil deliveries to the Czech Republic through the “Druzhba” pipeline have been halted. The country’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukas Vlcek, confirmed this information and noted that there is no threat of an oil shortage for Czech companies and households.
Vlcek emphasized that authorities are working on resolving the issue, but in the case of a prolonged interruption in deliveries, the Czech Republic may use the TAL+ pipeline.
Interruptions in deliveries through “Druzhba” began in early December. Local media reported at that time that this was due to administrative issues.
The Czech Republic receives 58% of all imported oil through this pipeline. The “Druzhba” pipeline starts in Almetyevsk, passes through Bryansk, and then branches off, heading through Belarus to Poland and Germany, as well as through Ukraine to Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
