Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that deportations of foreign nationals detained for committing crimes have begun in the country.
Tusk shared this on the social media platform X (Twitter), stating: “We are effectively dismantling Georgian gangs. Not with words, but with actions.” He attached a video to his post showing detained men boarding a plane with the help of border guards. The footage also shows the plane’s hatch closing and the aircraft taking off.
While announcing the start of deportations last week, the Prime Minister emphasized Poland’s determination in combating criminal groups.
Earlier, media reported that the European Union is developing a plan to revise the post-war refugee convention, which could allow countries to deny asylum seekers at their borders. This change could be one of the most significant in migration policy in recent decades.
