Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated that if Hungary—or potentially Slovakia—blocks a decision at the EU summit, leaders will need to find alternative ways to move forward.
Speaking upon his arrival at the special EU security summit in Brussels, Tusk acknowledged concerns that Hungary and Slovakia may take a different stance on supporting Ukraine.
“And that is why we will have to look for solutions that will allow us to achieve our goals one way or another, even if Hungary does not support these decisions,” he said.
“I don’t want to go into details, but as you know, there have been cases in history where the reluctance of one country could not block our collective decisions,” Tusk added.
