Military aid to Ukraine may resume after the meeting in Saudi Arabia, but the deal on minerals remains unresolved. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the final outcomes of the meeting in Saudi Arabia could be decisive for resuming military aid supplies to Ukraine.
According to him, if the meeting goes well and satisfies Washington, a decision will be made regarding the pause in assistance.
If we come out of there with good results and can report to the president, decisions will be made, Rubio said, adding that Ukraine continues to receive important defense intelligence information.
However, the issue of the mineral extraction deal remains open. Rubio mentioned that work on the agreement is ongoing, but its conclusion at the upcoming meeting in Saudi Arabia is not guaranteed, as many details still need to be worked out.
