Musk cheers Hungary’s bold move to support single moms with lifetime tax breaks

Elon Musk has made his thoughts crystal clear on Hungary’s new law benefiting single mothers. His reaction? Just two words: “Great move.” Musk, a father of many, has long argued that the world’s biggest issue isn’t overpopulation but the alarming decline in birth rates. So, it’s no surprise that he’s backing Hungary’s groundbreaking policy.

Under the new law, women in Hungary with two or more children are now exempt from income tax for life. This measure, which has garnered attention across Europe, is aimed at addressing the country’s shrinking population. Musk, who shared the news on his X page, applauded the government for taking action to support families.

As reported by Remix News, Hungary’s initiative has a direct impact on single mothers, who face higher poverty rates compared to other families. Anna Nagy, the head of Hungary’s Single-Parent Center, explained that nearly 36% of single parents live in tough financial conditions. With 81% of these single parents being women, this new tax exemption is a significant lifeline. It’s expected to affect nearly 100,000 families, ultimately improving the lives of more than 100,000 children.

This move comes as part of Hungary’s broader strategy to tackle the continent’s demographic crisis, where many European countries are grappling with record-low birth rates. As these nations continue to face declining populations, Hungary’s proactive approach could inspire other governments to follow suit.
