U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the revocation of Secret Service protection for the children of his predecessor, Joe Biden—Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden.
Trump made the announcement via his social media platform, Truth Social.
In his statement, Trump noted that Hunter Biden “has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States taxpayer.” According to Trump, Hunter Biden had been safeguarded by a team of 18 agents.
“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” Trump wrote.
