Dozens injured as four military buses crash in France

A serious traffic accident involving four buses carrying military personnel occurred in France, leaving 36 people injured.

Each bus was transporting around fifty soldiers and cadets returning from a visit to the Évreux airbase. According to preliminary reports, one person sustained severe trauma, but there is no immediate threat to the victims’ lives.

“The driver of one of the buses, a soldier, and two gendarme cadets were taken to Percy Military Hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening,” said Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.

The exact cause of the accident remains unclear, though media reports suggest the buses may have collided when a car attempted to squeeze between them on the road.
