Trump spoke positively about his talks with Putin and Zelensky

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his conversations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were “very good.”

He shared this in an interview with Breitbart News. Trump noted that his conversation with Putin “went well.”

After that, I spoke with President Zelensky, told him what happened the day before, and explained my goal – to bring these two countries together. We will work on a ceasefire to eventually stop the loss of 2,000 people every week, he said.

Trump emphasized that in this war, “2,000 or more people die every day,” and that’s why he is striving to stop it. He added that both conversations were “very good” and expressed confidence that an agreement will be reached to stop the bloodshed.

I also want to stop the huge payments we are forced to make. And I want Europe to pay as much as we do, because they didn’t do that under Biden, Trump said.

On March 19, Zelensky reported that he and Trump had agreed to discuss the technical details of a partial ceasefire, including stopping strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure.

Furthermore, during their conversation, Trump promised Zelensky assistance in finding Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine.
