Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed doubt about the large number of meetings and summits dedicated to Ukraine, stating that these events have yet to lead to significant progress.
As reported by TVP Info, Tusk announced in Brussels that Poland would participate in the Ukraine summit to be held in Paris next week. He also mentioned that he plans to have a one-on-one meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron before the summit. However, Tusk did not specify whether he would travel to Paris personally.
As is known, there are many meetings, summits, videoconferences, and trips related to the Ukrainian issue. Some might say there are even too many. It seems that the number of meetings does not lead to progress. This is my general observation, so that we don’t delude ourselves into thinking that 56 summits and videoconferences will accelerate the arrival of peace, Tusk remarked.
Earlier in March, the so-called “Coalition of the Resolute” gathered in London to work on the foundation for future post-war settlement. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also stated that he would be in Paris next week for meetings.
