On the night from Friday to Saturday, Prague police conducted a large-scale operation on the Barrandov Bridge, restricting traffic to a single lane and randomly stopping vehicles.
Over the course of four hours, officers identified 12 wanted individuals, detained a foreigner carrying a large quantity of drugs, and recorded dozens of violations, collecting nearly €9,000 in fines.
Most of the checked vehicles were taxis. Police discovered numerous violations, including expired technical inspections, lack of licenses for passenger transport, and fake driver’s licenses. One taxi driver was detained under the influence of drugs. Authorities emphasized that the majority of offenders were foreigners.
One driver in a BMW caught the attention of officers. A thorough inspection of his vehicle led to the discovery of dozens of packets containing various narcotic substances, resulting in his immediate arrest.
