On Monday evening, an extraordinary sight left many residents in Budapest and several other Hungarian cities in awe. At around 9 p.m., an unusual bluish light beam appeared in the sky, sparking a flurry of speculation online. P
eople initially thought it might be a meteor or something far more mysterious. However, the real cause turned out to be something much more familiar – a SpaceX rocket, according to Világgazdaság.

The Falcon 9 rocket had been launched from the U.S. on March 24, carrying Starlink satellites into orbit. Once the rocket’s first stage separated, it made a controlled descent back into the atmosphere. During this process, engine fires combined with contrails created an impressive, spiral-shaped light display that captivated onlookers.
Thanks to clear skies and perfect weather conditions, this celestial phenomenon was visible across much of Central Europe, including Hungary. But it wasn’t just in Hungary where people caught the spectacle; the U.K. also got a good view of the dazzling show in the sky.
Yes, these are real pictures of the night sky taken from Warminster in Wiltshire last night!
This spiral phenomenon seen all over the UK is believed to be caused by one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets launched in Florida yesterday.
