Bus without passengers falls into river in Turin, Italy: driver killed

According to the ANSA news agency, the incident occurred on the evening of March 26 in the city center.

The bus, moving in reverse, broke through a barrier and fell into the water. During this event, it hit three women who were unable to move out of the way, but their injuries were minor.

People in canoes, who were nearby, immediately rushed to help. They broke the bus window, pulled the driver out, and tried to resuscitate him, but the 64-year-old man could not be saved. Later, rescuers who arrived at the scene checked to see if there were any other people in the bus.

It turned out that the bus was on its way to pick up a group of schoolchildren after an excursion and had almost reached its destination.
