Protesters across the UK demand Tesla boycott over Musk’s influence

Demonstrators gathered in multiple UK cities as part of a global day of action against Elon Musk, calling for a boycott of Tesla.

In London, protesters assembled outside a Tesla dealership, holding signs that read, “Don’t Buy Nazi Cars”, “Don’t Fund Fascists”, and “Honk If You Hate Elon.” The demonstration began at 11 a.m. on Saturday and was part of Tesla Takedown, a grassroots campaign accusing Musk of using his wealth to “destroy democracy” and “dismantle public services.”

Similar protests were planned at over 200 Tesla locations worldwide, with nearly 50 in California alone.

Organizers describe the campaign as the largest of its kind. Demonstrations also took place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Bristol, with activists urging people to boycott Tesla, sell their shares, and participate in local protests.

The Tesla Takedown movement, which identifies as decentralized, has vowed to continue demonstrations “for as long as Elon Musk continues to destroy public services.”
