A 73-year-old woman in Germany found herself locked inside a supermarket overnight—and instead of seeking immediate help, she spent the time drinking, smoking, and collecting groceries worth several thousand euros, Bild reports.
On the morning of April 2, employees at a supermarket in the Bavarian town of Wolfratshausen arrived to discover an unexpected overnight guest. The elderly woman had accidentally been locked inside at closing time and was left to spend the night alone in the store.
Rather than panicking, she took full advantage of the situation, consuming around €100 worth of alcohol and gathering various other items.
Initially unaware of her predicament, she attempted to leave the store but only ended up damaging the door. Police later determined that the woman was already under judicial supervision and had previously been banned from entering the supermarket due to prior incidents.
Authorities have not yet announced what consequences she may face following the incident.
