Erdogan could meet with Trump at the White House in June

Ankara and Washington are considering the possibility of arranging a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House in June, according to Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, citing informed sources.

Earlier, on April 10, a CNN journalist, referencing White House sources, reported that Trump is considering a visit to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE next month. However, according to those sources, a final decision on the trip has not yet been made.

Sources within the Turkish president’s administration confirmed to RIA Novosti on April 11 that a visit by Trump to Turkey is under discussion, though specific dates have not been determined.

The second option is a meeting between Erdogan and Trump at the White House. Initially, late April or May was considered, but now the focus has shifted to June. Ankara and Washington are working out the details of a potential meeting, Hürriyet reports.
