The second round of talks between the United States and Iran on the nuclear program will be held on April 19 in Rome, Axios reports, citing its sources.
According to the portal, the change of location for the meeting was proposed by the American side. It is expected that during the upcoming talks, the US will demand that Iran reduce its enriched uranium stockpiles to a level sufficient for the production of no more than six nuclear warheads.
The first round of talks took place on April 12 in Oman. The Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the US was represented by Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East, Steve H. Winkoff. The talks lasted more than 2.5 hours, during which the parties exchanged positions on the nuclear deal and the possibility of lifting sanctions.
