Speaking at the Endless Frontiers Retreat just weeks after taking the helm at the Office of Science and Technology Policy, Kratsios outlined a bold vision of American innovation powered by scientific breakthroughs and deregulation. Channeling the ambitions of then-President Donald Trump, he pitched a coming “golden age” built on futuristic tech and smart investment.
“Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space,” Kratsios said, cryptically adding that such advances “annihilate distance” and boost both productivity and scale. He didn’t offer specifics but implied these developments could revolutionize everything from logistics to economics.
Later in his remarks, Kratsios called for breaking down government red tape, arguing that cutting bureaucratic drag could help the U.S. unlock “discoveries that will bend time and space” and stretch resources beyond current limits.
Trump himself recently hinted at similar game-changing capabilities. In a cryptic Oval Office comment, he claimed America possesses secret weaponry “more powerful than anybody even knows,” suggesting rivals like China think twice before pushing their luck.
He’s also touted the development of a sixth-generation fighter jet, calling it the “most lethal aircraft ever built,” and confirmed Boeing as the lead contractor.
