Trump’s approval rating in his second term surpasses first-term numbers

U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating for the first quarter of his second term has reached 45%, according to a recent Gallup poll, surpassing his approval rating during the same period of his first term, as reported by The Hill.

In the first quarter of his initial administration, Trump’s approval was 41%, significantly lower than the average approval rating of U.S. presidents after World War II, which stood at 60%, according to Gallup.

This current approval rating comes at a time when Americans are feeling the effects of Trump’s recent tariff announcements, which are expected to impact consumer prices.

Earlier this month, Trump introduced a 10% tariff on nearly all imports, as well as higher tariffs for certain countries, with the goal of boosting the U.S. financial and manufacturing sectors.
