Brazilian couple Manoel and Maria Dino set a new world record for the longest marriage among currently living couples, as recorded by the Guinness World Records.
Manoel, who is now 105 years old, and his wife Maria, who is 101, have become true symbols of longevity and love, having been together for 84 years.
Their love story began in 1936 when they met by chance. However, their first date didn’t take place until four years later. This couple has proven that time is just a number when respect and support reign in a relationship. Over the decades, they have raised 13 children, who gifted them 55 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Their family has grown into a large, multi-generational one, and their long and strong union serves as an example for many.
The absolute record for the longest marriage belongs to Americans David and Sarah Hiller, who were married for 88 years and 349 days before Sarah’s passing in 1898.
