On February 27–28, the College of Commissioners of the European Union, led by Ursula von der Leyen, will visit India, marking the first visit of this level.
During the trip, representatives of the European Commission will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and take part in a plenary session chaired by Modi and von der Leyen.
Additionally, the second meeting of the EU-India Trade and Technology Council will take place. The discussions will focus on cooperation in digital transformation, green technologies, trade, and investment.
The European Union is India’s largest trading partner: in 2023, the trade volume of goods between the two sides reached 124 billion euros, growing by nearly 90% over the past decade.
EU-India partnership dates back to 2004, and in 2022, they celebrated 60 years of bilateral relations.
