French President Emmanuel Macron is meeting with representatives from major French arms manufacturers, including Safran, Thales, Naval Group, and Dassault, at the Élysée Palace on Friday, March 14.
The meeting will also include representatives from four thousand small and medium-sized defense sector companies.
During the discussion, Macron aims to assess whether these manufacturers are capable of increasing production, as well as determining how frequently and at what pace they can meet demands.
In turn, the manufacturers are seeking assurances from the French government regarding support for their efforts.
On Thursday, France’s Minister of Industry, Marc Feschetti, stated that the government plans to rely on manufacturers to scale up the “volumes” of defense production.
