Poland will stop giving free aid to Ukraine – Tusk says change of approach

Poland is changing its approach to supporting Ukraine — from now on, the country intends not only to show solidarity but also to defend its economic interests.

This was announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI).

Polish companies, the Polish state — we will profit from this. We will help. Poland is a symbol of solidarity, but no longer a naïve one, Tusk emphasized.

He noted that Warsaw no longer intends to stand by while other countries benefit from Ukraine’s reconstruction. According to him, Poland will “firmly defend” the interests of its companies.

Tusk also pointed out the strategic importance of the logistics terminal in Slawkow, which he said will become a key hub for transport and post-war reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.
